Inspiration everywhere, all ways
I have found my passions aligning in a way that gives mother nature new form. Honoring each tree, I preserve natural features, lines and contours harnessing the energy and spirit within. The vision was formed as I began to notice fluent shapes carved in snow with my telemark skis. These clean cut lines express a story of rhythm, balance and precision, all of which have played a key role in the creation of Telecarve.
It all began in the winter of 2019 when a 110’ Norwegian spruce fell in my back yard, leaving a section still rooted to the earth. I wondered if I could chainsaw carve and soon began a two month journey that completely changed my life. Falling in love with the process and being challenged in all the right ways, chainsaw sculpting has become the ultimate form of expression. This bold style has allowed me to bend perspectives and influence the imagination.
